I bought this for rough shaping of carved spoon bowls and their handles. At the level I am using it the performance has been satisfactory. This is not a precision machine and for the price you can't expect it to be. The cover plate for the belt (made of plastic) has jammed the belt causing it to stop running. It is an easy fix but could be annoying if you use the machine on a regular basis.
